Description : A par tially finished Amish-style wa ll- sized quilt in traditional Amish colors; hand-quilting has been sta rted with black thread. The pattern is the classic Center Diamond, backed with b lack and purple plai d fab ric. All fa brics, batting, and thread is 100% cotton. It is machine pieced. There are full markings for hand quil ting in the rem aining unquilted areas, so it can easily be finished. I had wanted to make this as close to authentic as possible, to the Am ish quilts of this nature, so I had Roberta Horton, local quilter and aut hor on Amish quilting history and patterns, help me cho ose the colors for the front and back. She designed the backing fabric, as well . This quilt is very similar to another I have listed, which I got recently, in Flagstaff, Arizona and know nothing about its maker. I was shocked t hough, to see how mu ch alike the two are, see n listed here: other items . Condition : Still needs to be completed; batting loose on some edges.
