VINTAGE US NAVY USS RANGER CV-61 EMBROIDERED WINDBREAKER - JACKET - LARGE Up for bid is a used Vintage US Navy windbreaker/jacket from the USS Ranger CV-61. It is navy blue and the top photo shows what is on the left front pectoral of the jacket. T is nothing on the back of the jacket. T are no holes in the jacket, all seams are intact and all 6 snap buttons are firmly attached. T is some paint that is chipped on the top button. It is made by Hartwell in the U.S.A. The shell is 100% nylon and the lining is 100% polyester. It is a large (42-44) with measurements as follows:Shoulder to Shoulder-24 inchesPit to Pit-24 inchesLength-29 inchesSleeve Length (from collar seam to cuff)-32 inches Below is taken from : (we know it is long, but it is interesting history) The seventh USS Ranger (CV-61), formerly CVA-61, is a United States Navy Forrestal-class supercarrier. Construction and trials Ranger was the first aircraft carrier in the world to be laid down as an angled-deck ship (her elder sisters Forrestal and Saratoga had been laid down as axial-deck ships and were converted for an angled deck while under construction). She was laid down 2 August 1954 by Newport News Shipbuilding & Drydock Co., Newport News, Virginia, launched 29 September 1956, sponsored by Mrs. Arthur Radford (wife of Admiral Arthur W.
