VINTAGE 1950s WOODEN CRUCIFIX CANDLEHOLDER that serves as a PORTABLE SICK CALL OR LAST RITES PRAYER CROSS , from the estate of the original owner .The crucifix is 11 3/4" high X 7 " wide and the Jesus figure is 5 1/4" tall. The wood appears to be mahogany with brass inlay and the Jesus figure and “INRI” scroll are white metal and have a brass color . The top unsnaps up to reveal a storage compartment for candles and holy water , and holes for two candles . There is a hole on the back to hang the cross on the wall. It is in good condition with a few very small scratches and nicks on the sides. Includes an instruction sheet on the Use of the Sick Call Crucifix. Sold As Found, It needs to be cleaned.
