Offered for your consideration is a scarce vintage stag-handled utility pocketknife from Wusthof. Wusthof has long been one of Solingen, Germany most respected and sought after makers. Their kitchen cutlery is viewed by many to be the finest in the world and while Wusthof has made all manner and form of cutlery over the years, their pocket cutlery and hunting knives are rarely seen and seldom available. I've collected Wusthof folders for many years and have never seen a similar pattern from them before. The knife was beautifully crafted and richly exhibits the fine, old-world German quality and craftsmanship that built both the Wusthof and Solingen names.The knife has seen only light use and remainsin excellent, original condition. It has not been cleaned or buffed and is problem free. This is a thick, beefy folder with a great look and a solid, sturdy feel. The master blade was polished to a deeply mirrored finish and the "Sudkabel Mannheim" etch remains bold and strong. I believe Sukabel is a cable and and cable accessories company and is headquartered in Mannheim, Germany. The blade has been lightly honed at the most and the edge is free of any nicks, chips, or sharpening marks. The edge shows a couple very fine ripples near the tip bu this is very minor.
