This is a vintage Chinese export silver ashtray made by Zee Sung. It is shaped like a shoe and decorated with a dragon on each side. It is marked with the words ZEE SUNG and a Chinese mark on the bottom of the shoe. It is 4" long, 1 3/8" high and 1 1/2" wide and weighs 70.2 grams (photo 11). Zee Sung produced silver export items between 1900 and 1940. It is in vintage condition with the usual dings and fine scratches commensurate with age and use. I have another Zee Sung ashtray like this listed but the dragons are positioned differently.
