There are 319 full page b/w illustrations of the instruments , 622 illustrations of the makers labels and 16 scale outlines of identified instruments and a fold-out map ofCzechoslovakia showing the makers domiciles . There is a blue dust jacket with a picture of a violin . The dust jacket shows signs of wear with small tears at the top and bottom of the spine and at the corners . There is alsosome scuffing and scratches to the rear of the jacket . The rest of the volume is in fine condition with no signs of wear . Thetext block is tight and the interior is free of marks or foxing and the illustrations bright and very attractive . This volume is an incredible reference with a mountain of information and illustrations on the subject of theBohemian violin makers .
