This is a post war 70 mm Reconnaissance camera, as fitted to various military aircraft for low level high speed recording. See /cameras/post_ww2_allied_cameras.html for a description. It's a Mk 2A and it comes with three spare 70 mm magazines and an intervalometer. The lens is a 4" f2 Taylor Hobson Anastigmat, which will be capable of very high resolution photographs. I have never used this camera, so I can't be sure it is in good working condition, but I bought it some years ago from the British Ministry of Defence and I've no reason to suppose there is anything wrong with it. I have used similar cameras and found that they can produce very sharp pictures. The camera, lens unit and magazine, as in the first few photographs, weighs 7.5 kg. With the spare magazines and intervalometer, it comes to 12.5 kg, so I would prefer it to be collected, or I could deliver it for 50 p per mile. otherwise, postage and packing within the U. K. will be £25.00 by standard parcel service. If it goes abroad, the cost will also depend on its final destination and could be as much as £100.
