This is a BEAUTIFUL, ELEGANT and LARGE UNUSUAL shape crystal cut glass cookie jar with a FABULOUS pattern ! This is so GORGEOUS! I purchased this at an estate sale and the sellers said it could have been from the turn of the century and was American Brilliant Cut Glass but I think it may be a little newer than that! I can't say for sure though. All I know is that it is just GORGEOUS! The piece is CRYSTAL CLEAR and CATCHES ALL OF THE COLORS OF THE RAINBOW!! The pattern is BEAUTIFULLY cut vesicas with stars inside diamonds and crosshatching as well. t are featd fans or tassels as well. T are three sections with big DEEPLY engraved flowers, buds and leaves. The lid is GORGEOUS as well! It has a chain of diamonds with stars inside around the panelled knob and around the lid is large thumbprints with cuts in between them and smaller version right around the lid rim. It has a 16 point star on the bottom. It measures a LARGE 10 1/8" and is about 7" at the widest part. The cookie jar curves gracefully and the knob is big and paneled. This is really IMPRESSIVE and is BEAUTIFULLY well made. It is in great condition with no cracks or chips and only a few scratches on the bottom. Few tiny bubbles that were in the original glass mix, not noticeable. Mirror plateau is not for sale. Beautiful and impressive piece for your home!
