Includes Scott goggle andFREE Scott poles!! details below The Kenja (meaning 'wise one') is the all new narrower version of the legendary all mountain performer, the Aura, and is the women's version of the new men's Kendo. The Kenja has the Aura's titanium sandwich construction, but is almost a full centimeter narrower with a slightly tighter turning radius. What this means for you is that the Kenja is an all mountain ski geared more toward 50% on trail, 50% off trail . At 86mm wide it still has enough width to bust through crud and make turns in powder, but compared to the Aura, it's noticeably quicker turning and has more power and precision on trail. The width is great for skiing crud and trees because it reacts quicker to skier input and skiers who are lighter weight or lighter on their feet will still get plenty of float. Kenja also features Volkl's Bio Logic women's shape which has a slightly tapered tail designed to help reduce knee injuries. We think the Kenja is one of the best new skis out this year. The Kenja is the perfect ski for women looking to venture off trail for the first time and for lady skiers who like skiing off the groomed runs, but want to maintain maximum performance on hard pack This is a truly amazing new creation from Volkl! Check out these features of the Volkl Kendo: Sensor wood core - Volkl uses a tip to tail, edge to edge wood milled into the shape of the ski before it goes into the mold. Very smooth and quiet lots of rebound. Power Construction with Titanal - is Volkl's longest running method of building skis. Two sheets of Titanal above and below a fiberglass torsion box wrapped around the wood core, offers the best possible compromise between quickness and high speed stability. Metal also increases edge hold dramatically for those times when the ski must be able to hold to the snow. This is Volkl's burliest construction ever. ABS sidewalls offer the ultimate in durability and on snow feel. Energy is transferred very efficiently for better control, and enhanced feel. Very resistant to twisting forces and still lots of rebound from turn to turn. ABS smooths out the ride, and resists sidewall damage better than any other material. Dimension 3 Sidecut – The shape of the ski is designed so that the maximum amount of the edge is in contact with the snow when the ski is flexed into the turn. Because there is more edge in contact with the snow, turns are very easy to initiate, and edge hold is improved.
