I am selling my fabulous VINTAGE TRAMP ART CHIP CARVED EAST LAKE GRAIN PAINTED WOOD GOLD GILDED BEJEWELED & BEDAZZLED VICTORIAN LARGE DOLL BED , as I am downsizing my smaller collections. This is a fabulous over-the-top all the bells and whistles doll bed! It is simply amazing and oh-so-gorgeous , you will never see another like this! This is a large ornate doll bed measuring 8" wide X 12 3/4" long X 4 1/8" tall. This is a vintage hand made piece of tramp art, chip carved in the East Lake style. This doll bed was found at an estate in Brandon Vermont. It is just amazing, I have never seen anything like it. I do not normally like doll items but this is truly a must have! It is gold gilded and grain painted with deep cobalt blue head and foot boards. The head and foot boards are decorated on both sides with elaborate hand cut Victorian motif embossed paper flowers that have been applied and varnished over. I imagine some wonderful Father spent a lot of time making this as a special gift for a favorite daughter. The bed boasts gold spool turned legs and tiny red jewels along the head and foot boards. They almost appear to be little lights that "light up" when they catch the light just right.
