Past Potentate 14k Medal Wow. This is by far the finest piece of hand crafted jewelry I have ever had the honor to posses (at least for a short period). This badge/medal was given to a retired potentate after having served as such for a period of time (a very high and prestigious honor). The badge is topped with the banner inscribed "Past Potentate", 14k just below this is a scimitar which is connected to a seal of sorts 14k. In this seal's perimeter are the words "ABOU BEN ADHEM" which signifies that the wearer belonged to the Abou Ben Adhem Shrine Mosque in Springfield, MO. Just below that is this piece's "show stopper" a beautifully crafted crescent moon made of faux bear claws. Adorning that is a finely detailed 3D pharaoh's face flanked on either side by a set of graduated seed pearls. 14k gold is used throughout the entire construction. Has been tested and is certifiably 14k. It is unfortunately missing what once dangled within the arms of it's crescent moon but is still an absolutely stunning piece. It measures 4 3/4 x 2 inches.
