Up for Auction is this Incredible HUGE Rosary with 169 wooden beads, a medal, and a large crucifix that opens to reveal a compartment! There are 15 decades (groups of 10) of smaller beads, plus 3 near the crucifix. There are 16 larger carved beads, making a total of 169 beads. A normal rosary has just 58! The larger Beads measure about 6 mm in diameter and the smaller ones measure about 5 mm in diameter. This Rosary has a large crucifix: approximately 2 1/16 inches (5.3 cm) High, and 7/8 of an inch (2.2 cm) Wide. It is marked "ROMA" on the back, for Rome, Italy, where it was likely made, or at least sold. The Christ figure on the Crucifix is highly detailed. Please see auction photos. There is a Medal on this Rosary: the Sacred Heart of Jesus is on one side and there is a scene on the other side with a Madonna and Child and another person. There is lettering around the outside border of the medal that I cannot make out except for the word "CARMEL". This medal is marked "FRANCE". The most unique thing about this piece is that the crucifix opens up by unscrewing the latch at the foot of the cross and lifting
