Offered in this auction is a pair of vintage tube cotton pillowcases. These are heavy thick cotton - not thin at all. Tube cotton is what they used in the 40's and 50's to make pillow slips. They are called tube cotton because there are no side seams - only a seam at the end. You don't find these in this condition very often anymore. These are a prime example of a lost craft. The person that embroidered these and crochet the edges did a fantasticly perfect job. They are chic WHITE ON WHITE embroidery and white crochet edges on white cases. I don't believe that they were ever used, probably just safely tucked away for years. (if you look closely, you can still see a little of the blue transfer here and there) They are beautiful and perfect for that clean crisp white look. There is definitely is NOTHING SHABBY about these. Please see the large pictures that I have posted below so you know exactly what you are bidding on. I was going to call these perfect, but I was just giving them one last inspection. While holding them up to the light, I found a few 'speckles'. These are pictured below with a quarter so you can see how tiny they are. These speckles (4 or 5) are on the back sides. Weight 9 - 10oz Package Size first class vinyl envelope I try to use tyvek envelopes for linens and unbreakables that are shipped priority. They are super strong and for the most part, don't add any weight to your shipment. (that saves $$) PLEASE REMEMBER NOT TO USE A SHARP OBJECT TO OPEN THE PACKAGE!!! Payment is expected within 5 days. Paypal is the only form of payment that I accept. I have a smoke free home but I do have a pit/beagle and a cocatiel.
