Metal statue of Vulcan which watches over Birmingham, Alabama. Base of statue is embossed: Birmingham's Great Vulcan. The original statue was on display at the 1904 World's Fair in St. Louis. These small statues were on sale as souvenirs at the Fair and in Birmingham. Stands 6" tall to the tip of his outstretched right arm-which holds a spear tip. The base is about 1.75" square. Statue is made of pot metal. No chips or cracks. The original statue was returned to Birmingham after the Fair and displayed at the Alabama State Fair Grounds in Birmingham. It was later placed atop Red Mountain where it still resides today.WE WILL SHIP THIS ITEM TO THE U.S. ONLY
