"N&S" GE DASH 8-40BLOCOMOTIVE Up for your consideration is an HO scale modelof a powered, Twin-flywheel Inter-modal locomotiveof the "NORFOLK SOUTHERN" Railroad.Made byWalthersItem #931-18? The se GE U-Boats were built as 4000 hphigh speed freight locomotivesfor the inter-modal services. This particularmodel utilizes the "standard cab". This locomotive is in excellent condition. The locomotive is in "N&S" freight markings.The engine number is "3554 SOU".It is equipped with Twin-flywheel all-wheel geardrive. It has a five pole, skewed armature motor. The box is not the original but appropriate.I carefully went over the locomotive to insurethat it is complete including NMRA Couplers.I set this engine on my test track and ran it at differentspeeds for a test and it operates very well (Smooth!!).
