Warwick Celluloid Bicycle Advertising Button Antique celluloid stud back advertising button for Warwick Bicycle Company. Measures approx 7/8" in diameter and t is a number 96 on the button face that may have some significance.Celluloid is an early form of plastic. This has a stud back rather than a pin back. A stud back is like an old cuff link back and I think that they wore these on their collars or hats some how. The piece of wire you see in the images at the upper left is just a piece of wire rigged to hold these buttons for photographing.Very excellent condition.Marked on the stud by the manufacturer Whitehead and Hoag. From the late 1800s to the early 1900s.Please see my other auctions for more of these great old bicycle advertising buttons that I am auctioning off for a man in his 80s that has had these in his possession since the 1930s w he got them from a Goodwill store in the Seattle area.Great advertising graphics.Great victorian vintage bike bicycle two wheel ride riding pedal transportation advertising small pinback related collectible.
