Made in Japan, this Washburn features a Stevens Extended Cutaway, allowing easy access to the very top fret. Superb construction, excellent condition. I bought this guitar new in 1987, making it one of the first to be produced in the Kasuga factory in Japan.FEATURES: Body: Ovangkol...... Top: Spruce...... Neck: Mahogany, 24 frets...... Fingerboard: Rosewood with pearl inlay and dot markers...... Bridge; Rosewood with individual bone saddles...... Tuners: Gotoh, Pearloid buttons, 3 a side...... Electronics: Piezo pickup with original EC300 pre amp...... Comes with: Luxury padded gigbag. CONDITION A few minor scraches on the top. The rosewood bridge was rebuilt by luthier Joe White in 2012 as it was cracking. This was a super repair done by Joe, at which time he dressed the frets and set it up with an easy action and 11-50 strings. It plays beautifully, has plenty of volume and a very rich, but crisp tone. Ideal for Jazz, Blues Folk and Country. TERMS FOR BUYERS Buyer collects from Woking IN PERSON (no couriers please). Payment in cash only at time of puchase. Collection must be made within two days of purchase. No negotiation, too many problems with Paypal and couriers in the past. The last item the buyer had collected by courier arrived in half a dozen pieces even though packed in original packaging. This is an incredibly rare guitar read more
