Two historical old documents from 1845, 1846 signed by Washington C. DePauw, once the wealthiest man in Indiana who gave the money to make DePauw University in Greencastle a great school. The top document grants the estate of Elisha Hardin to John Hardin. Both men were born in Salem, Ind. It is actually an unfolded, hand carried folded letter to John Hardin. The lower item is a receipt. Both signatures are beautifully written. Low opening bid.
