Super example of a Waterline Model Ship HMS LYNX HMS Lynx (F27), was a Leopard Class Type 41 anti-aircraft Frigate of the British Roal navy. She was lais down by John Brown & Co. in Scotland on 13 August 1953, launched on 12 January 1955, and commissioned on 14 March 1957. She was transferred to the Banglaadeshi Navy on 2 March 1982 and renamed BNS Abu Bakar. She is still serving and is currently moored at Chittagong , serving with the Commodore Commanding BN Flotilla (COMBAN). About 200 personnel serve aboard her with most living aboard. She is one of five frigates in the Bangladesh Navy. Approx 3.5 inches long and made in wood ( could be scrtach built or maybe a kit rom the 1950s / 60s ) she has survived really well. Came to me from a collector who had quite a fleet of unusual rare models. I would be keeping her but for the fact that Port Kamares is really a commercial port and with limited berths available she has to make another voyage. As the photo shows she is nice little vessel and well complements other maritime models such as Triang Minic as well as the German makes like Hansa, CM, Albatros, Naval, Neptun as well as Clydeside. Looks well and fully deserves a calm and permanent mooring in the harbour of a true maritime enthusiast . Will be box packed and carefully wrapped to protect her guns, masts and fragile details.
