I bought this new in about 1988.I never ran it. I put it on track to see if it runs.. it stars to move but won't get going and starts to spin. Sounds like gear is not engaging. Lights and e unit work. This is a real pretty little engine one of , if not the first 3 rail scale sized offerings( weaver was a 2 rail company at the time) and looks better than most new offerings. It has a drive shaft with a belt that drives the wheels..so if your familiar with this type of set up you can probably fix this pretty easy. Cosmetically it is without blemish..picture is lousey..engine has really nice detail ...At this price it can be used as a great lookin dummy. I have the original box.. Questions welcome... . 20 year + TCA member.. I take returns (x shipping mine and yours on this piece) if not happy... Checks are OK if desired.
