Blue WEDGWOOD England JASPER Jasperware 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY 7" Collector's PLATE ~ BOWL Mint! Up for auction is a wonderful Wedgwood collector's plate. This plate is part of the popular Jasper line and has white bas-relief scenes on a light blue background. It was made in extremely limited quantities in 2001 as a commemorative plate for the classic Stanley Kubrick film. This plate depicts a center scene of a rocket flying in front of the Moon. In gold lettering is written, "2001: A Space Odyssey". Around the border of the plate are gold pictures of a lunar module. This plate measures 7" in diameter. This plate has the Wedgwood marking on the bottom of the plate as well as the movie cinerama title of "2001: A Space Odyssey". It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or scratches.
