The knife up for auction is a Weidmannsheil Folding Hunter knife with genuine India Stag handles. This is now a discontinued Model 501 The individually forged high carbon steel blade has a spear point and is stamped with Weidmannsheil The round shield with the Weidmannsheil Deerhead and bolster are nickel silver with brass pins and linners. The tang stamp is Weidmanns Heil Solingen Germany with a Deerhead. The 501 model measures 3 3/4 inches closed. The knife has never been used, carried or sharpened.. The front handle has a couple of small natural surface lines but no cracks or chips. A mint knife with the original Weidmannsheil box. Will not be responsible for loss if insurance is not requested.
