The hand-made spoon was a token of lasting affection made by a young man for his sweetheart.Today, spoons made by local craftsmen still can be given with love or affection, or just as a unique gift. This spoon measures 11 inches long by 2 inches wide.Symbols on this spoon include 2 hearts: in Welsh that is called Dwy Galon, meaning "togetherness."The anchor in Welsh represents "fidelity ensured." The Welsh word is Angor.The diamond represents a wish for prosperity. In Welsh the word is deimwnt.
