Issued on June 20, 1963 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the admission of the State of West Virginia to the Union, this beautiful medallion is 34mm (approximately 1-5/16") in diameter. It was struck at the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia. It comes in its original collector's display folder, which measures 8" x 6" x 3/4".Please excuse the poor quality of the photographs. To achieve a quality image of the medallion would have required removing it from its original display case.
