TERRIFIC ANTIQUE WHITE IRONSTONE SAUCE OR GRAVY PITCHER ITEM; ANTIQUE IRONSTONE GRAVY BOAT MAKER; This is Octogon shape by T R Boote company Staffordshire England 1851.CONDITION; Very Good Antique Condition. This does have some condition issues. T is a hairline across the top of the handle w it meets the bowl, and a very small chip. Discoloration has set inn over time. The tinniest glaze nick on the bottom of the base. Also, some underglaze sand in the bottom. No crazing. This is a pre-Civil War pitcher in very good condition. Gorgeous bright white color.MEASUREMENTS; 5" Tall 8 3/8 X 3" Across. HOLDS JUST OVER 1 CUP OF LIQUID~~~ This is a scarce and highly sought after Gothic gravy pitcher potted in the 1850s by T&R Boote Company. One of the premiere potters of Staffordshire white ware. The tall pedestal base makes this one stunning pitcher. Great for display or use as the handle is very stable. It would not hurt to repair with some porcelain repair from your local hardware store..
