An attractive 6 inch tall white stoneware jug with blue background titled 'Yeddo" manufactured by Wm. Brownfield and Sons circa 1876. On one side there is a bird in flight with three clouds and on the other two birds in flight with two clouds. Molded Brownfield marks on the bottom include two globes, registry, and banner with title. Workmanship and condition are excellent with no chips, cracks, or other damage.The best reference for Brownfield pottery is William Brownfield and Son(s): An Illustrated Guide to Brownfield Wares 1837-1900 .
