For your consideration: A wonderful older Solid English Oak open bookshelf or bookcase with a drop down writing desk from the Arts & Craft Era. The Arts & Craft Era of furniture makers was from around 1880 to around 1910. Also, t will be no added packaging & shipping cost added to this auction. The final selling prices will be all you pay, unless you live in Texas, then State & county Sales Tax will be added. This is one nice and heavy bookcase. Only the back panel is Oak veneer, everything else is Solid English Oak. The Patina is medium dark Honey Oak. The finish is still pretty good I wouldn't dare have it refinished. It's style is very timeless and extremely functional. It would look wonderful in your kitchen, den, foyer or bedroom. It's unique "double beveled edge" top is 41 3/4" wide, 9" deep and 52 1/4" tall to the top of the backsplash. All of the shelves are "fixed" in place, they are not adjustable. T are many shelves & cubbies for displaying books and your other "pretties" on. Both the left side & right side top shelves 7 1/2" wide and 8 7/8" tall and about 7 5/8' deep. The shelves under them are both 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" and about 7 5/8" deep. The shelf above the drop down door is 20" X 7 7/7" deep and about 6 1/4" high. The drop down door is 20" X 10 3/4" and is about 26 3/4" off the floor. Inside the bureau area it has 3 "cubbies" and one drawer which is made with the old dovetailed construction method. The bottom shelves are 36 3/4" X 7 5/8" and each are 11" tall. The hinges & handles are old Copper ones and I think they came on the piece , the lock in the drop down door is not the original one and t is no key to lock the drop down door. As with any antique item of this one age & travels it will have some dings, blemishes to the finish and scratches. Overall, it's a neat and wonderful old bookcase bureau with years & years of good service remaining in it. Please Read the Terms for Payment. Payment is expected in 7 days after the auction closed. Texas Residents must add .0675 Sales Tax. Careful Packaging and Insured Shipping cost will be $00.00 to anyw in the lower 48 States. I gladly except personal checks and money orders and PayPal. Personal checks will have to clear my bank before items are shipped (5 to 7 Banking Days). THANKS FOR LOOKING!! GOOD LUCK BIDDING!! Check Out My Feedbacks!!
