For your consideration: A wonderful older Solid English Oak open bookshelf or bookcase with a drop down writing desk from the Arts & Craft Era. The Arts & Craft Era of furniture makers was from around 1880 to around 1910. Also, t will be no added packaging & shipping cost added to this auction. The final selling prices will be all you pay, unless you live in Texas, then State & county Sales Tax will be added. This is one nice and heavy bookcase. Only the back panel is Oak veneer, everything else is Solid English Oak. The Patina is medium dark Honey Oak. The finish is still pretty good I wouldn't dare have it refinished. It's style is very timeless and extremely functional. It would look wonderful in your kitchen, den, foyer or bedroom. It's unique "double beveled edge" top is 41 3/4" wide, 9" deep and 52 1/4" tall to the top of the backsplash. All of the shelves are "fixed" in place, they are not adjustable. T are many shelves & cubbies for displaying books and your other "pretties" on. Both the left side & right side top shelves 7 1/2" wide and 8 7/8" tall and about 7 5/8' deep. The shelves under them are both 7 1/2" x 8 1/2" and about 7 5/8" deep. The shelf above the drop down door is 20" X 7 7/7" deep and about 6 1/4" high.
