This is a very rare, unique old wooden Coal Delivery Truck that I think has British roots although I cannot confirm that. The truck may have been hand made but I do not know much about its history. It is so unusual and I have never seen one similar to it. I assume it is pre WWII but again not sure. The thing that makes it appear that old are the wheels and tires plus the old style of vehicle. The old metal wheels have hard rubber tires and those are rare. It has some neat writing on the side boards indicating R. Weller, Coal Merchant, Cobham 131. That has historical roots I would think. The two doors to the old cab open as seen in picture #3 and the tail gate opens and is held with chains. Also, 7 play bags of coal are in the truck as seen in picture #5. The material is old canvas making it look like gunny sacks. There is some flaking of the paint exposing the bare wood as evidenced in pictures #1, 2, 4, and 7. The truck is very large measuring: 18" long x 5" wide x 8" tall. I am selling this unusual toy as I must downsize and this truck takes alot of storage and shelf space. I accept Pary pal and will send via standard parcel post with delivery confirmation. Thanks for looking!
