Collectors and discriminating homeowners alike will appreciate these 2 lovely Sterling Silver Soup Spoons by Reed & Barton in the Francis I pattern . These spoon are in Excellent Used Condition , with minimal wear and tear. The handles feature the LCursive Reed & Barton Hallmark which dates these pieces post-1940. T are no monograms on these spoons. Each weighs 1.4 oz. on my postal scale and measures 6 inches long. Francis 1st is currently in production. It has a will deserved reputation for elaborate intricate designs and superb craftsmanship. The "Francis 1" pattern was designed by Ernest Meyer and introduced in 1906. It is so spectacular that each piece stands alone as pure art. the pattern took 3 years to complete and has a design so intricate and detailed it has to be studied to be truly appreciated.
