Wow! What a powerful Poster! This is an original (1944) World War 2 poster showing the head of a screaming Marine who can only be yelling, "NEXT". The next refers to the Island nation of Japan - issued when it was clear that Germany was soon to fall. It was published by the Government Printing Office in 1944 in order to encourage people to remember that the focus of the war was soon to be the Pacific and the fight for Japan. The dramatic use of a Marine's frantic face demands the viewer's attention. The poster was at one time folded. This size of this poster is 40" x 28 1/2". The edges are in generally very good shape.T are some slight rips along the folds- see scan. The color is strong! Offered with modest opening and no reserve.
