Angle of sight instrument H A MK 1, J H Steward Ltd. 1916 No 503. The instrument consists of a compass and clinometer, horizontal and vertical scales. Green scale for the compass, white scale for the clinometer. The leather case and instrument carry the makers mark, dated 1916, No 503, plus the military arrow. The instrument can stand on the pair of feet for clinometer use. For use as a compass the instrument can be mounted on a tripod via the screw thread provided. Both the vertical and horizontal scales can be held at rest via the knobs provided. Both the instrument and leather case are in excellent condition, very little use.
