Up for your consideration is a collection of books. I am listing each one separately in order to show more photos. These are WW! bound volumes of the prestigious French magazine, L'illustration. Important to note t are NO ads in these volumes. They are all in similiar condition with scuffing on the outside, some of the books have a few loose pages - although I have not counted them, I have seen no areas of missing pages. This auction is for Vol. 1 1915. All magazine front covers, works of art, and historical data is clean and in pretty good shape for the age. Each books is approx. 16 inches x 12 inches x 2 inches thick and weight right at 13 pounds per volume. Please forgive the glare on some of the pictures. To mention a few of the many artist that contributed to these volumes : Georges Scott, Francois Flameng, Lucien Jonas, Charles Fouqueray, L. Sabbatier, J. Simont, Hansi, Jean Droit, Sandy Hook, Goerges Leroux. Not every volume has every artist in them. These books contain modes of transportation of the time, Zeppelins, trains, planes, tanks, submarines, and ships. These works of art can be viewed at Great War Differance site, but not purchased.
