Original WW2-vintage silk Japanesebanner, called a syussei-ki , given to new recruits joining the military by family or co-workers. This particular banner was given to YABUUCHI YASUJI SOURYOUYSA on the occasion of his enlistment in the Army. The red characters between the two flags translate as “Congratulations.” The banner is made of silk, is in excellent condition with no tears or holes and measures approximately 60” (153 cm) long.
