Up for auction is a massive size WWII theater made "BOWIE" style fighting knife with leather scabbard.Blade is a well balanced double edge with a thin fuller on both sides.Looks like blade could have been hand forged from a solid piece of steel.T is no flexing and should not bend or break under fighting conditions.Blade is 11.5 x 1.5 inches in diameter and is very sharp.Very colorful and full size handle has a great patina with black and redish brown rings that could be mica,and is accented with brass spacers.Cross guard and pommel are aluminum construction.Blade is tight to handle.On pommel top and into one of the brass spacers is the name "JOHN MOCVUS" stamped in uneven lines.Overall length is 17 inches.Thick brown leather scabbard is machine sewn together.Front leather is two pieces and fit perfectly.Hard to notice this as it is done so well.Scabbard top has a hole cut into leather,possibly for a lanyard to belt attachment.A great WWII period fighting knife with personalization.Pay Pal or US Postal Money order only.Payment expected within 7 days after auction closes.Shipping to continental US is $10.00 via US Priority Mail.International shipping to be determined.Notice to non-US bidders - if your country's customs regulations prohibit or restrict this item, please do not bid.Must be 18 years of age to bid on this item.|
