WWII American Optical-Designed Army Air Force - AN6531 Sunglasses Green Lenses These authentic wartime-issued American Optical sunglasses are in very nice overall condition. The lenses show only some small surface scratches, no nicks or chips. The nickle-plated frame remains very sound, but could use a bit of polishing to look its best (these actually look great when you do polish them, but many choose to leave the age patina in place. The bakelite sweat bar and nose pads are in good, used condition. This pair comes with the original leather case. A maker's mark is not to be found on these glasses which are originals manufactured by AO for military use. Similar sets of AN6531 are shown in Mick Prodger's excellent reference ''Vintage Flying Helmets''.
