Parting with a large lot from S/Sgt. Lee Harry Archibee who was on more than 30 missions over Europe and Berline during World War II w he received the Distinguished Flying Cross as a ball turret gunner on a B-17, Meritorius Achievement for 5 Combat Missions, 2 Oak Leaf Cluster, with 92nd Bomber Group H. Bidder to pay $8.50 shipping. His home address was Pulaski, New York. This lot includes large flight suit photo of Lee, a soft canvas Flight Helmet (has one snap pulled through cloth in back), flight goggles (rubber rims have stucked together and one is pulling away from frame), conduct card, men passing before review of Gen. Huff, newspaper article of award of Flying Cross, more than 100 various sized photographs of various topics (personal shots, uniformed personnel, base scenes, some planes/ships), Base Armament personnel picture, Camp Callan postcard, Japan 5 centavos note, Grey Beaver ship picture, two letters home, course completion certificate for Aerial Gunners, McDonnel Aircraft application info, parting with his history album in separate auction.
