This auction is for an ORIGINAL K98 WWII German Cleaning Rod and not a reproduction . This is the early 10" variety cleaning rod and is getting harder to find. It is in very good used condtion and bears a two digit number 45 it for the last two digits of the serial number for the rifle it was made for. You can verify the authenticity by the manufacturing techniques and physical characteristics of the cleaning rod. To learn more on authentic WWII German K98 cleaning rods go to . The threaded portion and patch holder end are consistent with the German WWII construction techniques. Don't be fooled by others who list their cleaning rods as "unissued" or "I am not certain" as they certainly are reproductions!
