Up for Auction is a WWII style M6 Trench Knife Sheath. It is sterile & free of any manufacture markings. I purchased at a gun show several years ago. Shows signs of use & age. Possibly be a period piece ??. No cracking to the leather. And still soft & supple. Probably a home made item. Has the traditional 1910 equipment belt hook. Also has the belt staples at the throat, for the protection of the leather for blade entry. Has the metal plate at the bottom of the sheath to protect the leather from blade point piercing through it. Has eyelet at the toe of the for leg thong. Original WWII M6 Sheaths are scarce & very expensive. And run in ranges of $ 300. $ 500. & up depending on condition. So if you are looking for a early war M3 Trench Knife sheath this would due, until you were fortunate to come across one contracted manufacture. All questions welcome. Item found as is & sold as is.
