WWII US Army/USMC M1905E1 Bayonet w/M7 Scabbard marked UFH US 1942 w/Ordnance Bomb - RARE Spear Tip Up for auction is a WWII US Army/USMC M1905E1 Bayonet. This is a modified M1942 Bayonet that was shortened to the length of the new M1 Bayonet prior to the end of WWII. This bayonet is marked UFH (Union Fork & Hoe) US 1942, w/ordnance bomb. This is one of the Rare Spear Tip Variation. The Bayonet is in Good Condition with no rust but has very light surface pitting in spots, crisp markings and nice plastic grips. The scabbard is a post-WWII M7 Danish Contract. It has the M1910 belt hooks. The scabbard is in Very Good Condition, with just a little finish wear. RARE STYLE SPEAR TIP!!!!!!!!! In late 1942, it was deceided to cut 6" from the Existing Bayonets thus making a 10" blade. This bayonet has been overlooked by collectors for years. However, t has been a lot of interest from collectors for an examples in excellent condition to fill the hole in their collections. This bayonet will fit the M1903/A3 Springfield Rifles and the M1 Garand Rifle.
