You are bidding on a Rare & Hard to Find WWII Willys MB Ford GPW Jeep Tool Kit Irwin Screwdriver Cleaned, ready for use or show I believe this screwdriver was standard issue for the Jeep and other Military vehicles tool kits, during the era. The screwdriver is stamped on the middle of the shank shaft IRWIN US of A , GOV. STOCK #41-S-1076, which was the Federal Stock #, and was used for the Willys number A-375 and the Ford GPW-17020. The handle is a two split wood handle that is riveted on both sides and finished with yellow tint varnish / Shellac. The metal shank is natural metal finish and runs all the way thru the handle. The Screwdriver is approx. 11 1/4" long, with a 3/8" wide tip. The screwdriver is in good condition, and has been cleaned , the handles are tight, and has been recently sanded and refinished with a yellow tint varnish - close to original, as with the vintage of the screwdriver t is some normal field wear, a few dings & scratches and some discoloration, and pitting, as noted from the photos.
