XL PREMIUM BUDDHIST 108 MALA PRAYER BODHI SEED BEADS Size: String is 42 inches long with three, five inch tassles Retail Value: over $100.00 Very large set of Mala prayer beads made out of authentic extra large Bohdi seeds. Strand is broken up by Turquoise colored beads framed with red coral colored beads and Tibetan Silver rings. These Malas are decorated with three beautiful red tassles. It even includes two ring counters and a Tibetan Silver bell and Dorje. A Mala is a string of beads used to count mantras (Sanskrit prayers) in sets of 27, 56 or 108 repetitions. The large meru (mountain) bead provides a starting and ending point on the mala for counting the repetitions. Mala beads are an ancient tool that was developed to keep the mind focused on the practice of meditation. Mala beads are seen in other cultures and religions and are related to rosary beads and worry beads.
