They’re plenty heavy enough to actually hold big books in place, and those men are running a race while nekked as a flock of jaybird. I have NO idea what THAT’S all about. Each is marked on the back by the maker: “C. S. & Co.” I’m afraid I don’t know who they are, but they certainly did fine casting work. Seems like I’ve seen that mark before.
