Sixth plate daguerreotype of young couple. The woman is holding a note placed upside-down in order to be readable in the photograph. The note, which looks to be a piece of embroidery, say, "To One I Love" followed by what might be a flower. The writing is laterally reversed to due to the daguerreotype camera. The writing on the fabric/note is easier to read with a loop when the dag is held at an angle, making the image negative. Original paper seals.
