Size : Estimated size is 40 L - see measurements for fit. This jacket is very similar to the Hercules Chore Work Denim Jackets in its design. There is no brand or tag showing the manufacturer. Purchased during the mid 1930s from the general store near the oil patch of Bartlesville, OK.Distressed, work splatters, hand repairs throughout jacket and lining. Jacket also has unrepaired distressing. Front lower pockets have inside divider cloth. Snap front right pocket with topstitching showing from inside lining pocket. Corduroy collar, 5 metal front buttons, with etched design that has 8 spokes to the wheel design, sleeve buttons. Left chest pocket is stitched closed at top has a planket flap opening to secure papers with pen pocket. Topstitching is faded white, pocket corner stitching is originally deep red and has faded to a gold with red tinging. Elastic lower band to keep cold out. Lining is wool blanket that is loom woven.Sleeves are two piece construction with metal button closure and swoop shaped edge. Inside the sleeve hem is a slotted opening to tuck tools away while working. Original red thread can be seen from inside of sleeve hems.
