1940s TED WILLIAMS Adirondack Northern Vintage Baseball Bat - HOF Offered is a 1940s TED WILLIAMS Adirondack "Northern" Vintage Baseball Bat. The bat is 35" and 30 oz and is a "Whip Action" Adirondack. The bat features the rare Adirondack center brand with "Northern" above the center and "White Ash" below the center. This branding was some of the earliest Adirondack branding and was used between 1946 and 1950. The combination of the dark bat and the bright branding makes this bat pop and display very nicely. It has a great knob without any missing wood. This bat feels great to swing and has and extremely nice patina. The bat markings are readable although the center brand "Adirondack" is missing a few letters. This bat is in great condition! It is not cracked and the barrel has no areas of separation common with vintage bats. There are no nails or missing wood. It feels like you could hit a few balls with it although I wouldn't try it because this bat is too nice to damage. There are a few nicks and dings common with used bats. Please view images for condition. This is a beautiful bat and one that would be great in any collection. It is difficult to find player branded bats that are 35" or longer and also very difficult to find used bats of this era without a handle crack or other significant damage.
