Circa late 1950's to early 1960's Ross Grimsley Sr. game used baseball glove. This glove was obtained with along with several other items from the estate of Mr. & Mrs. Ross Grimsley Sr. in Memphis Tennessee.Ross Grimsley Sr. played professional baseball from 1946-61 including with the 1951 White Sox. Mr. Grimsley won 129 games in the Minor Leagues over 16 seasons in addition to playing with the Chicago White Sox in 1951. He also served in the U.S. Army Air Force during WW2.Ross Grimsley Sr.'s son Ross Grimsley Jr.played in the major leagues from 1971-82. He won 2 games in the 1972 World Series as a member of the Cincinnati Reds, he won 18 games in 1974 as a member of the Baltimore Orioles and won 20 games in 1978 as a member of the Montreal Expos.The glove is in fairly rough shape. It is intact except for the missing cloth label and has lots of piping wear. The inside lining is well worn and the leather is very stiff. The web, fingers and heel have been re-laced.
