This is a complete original National Historical Society Civil War chess set produced by the Franklin Mint, 1983.This set has some wear/minor damage to the chessboard, please see photos as they are part of the description.Includes certificate of authenticity. Complete set of chess pieces, all in excellent condition. Some squares on the chess board have flecks of paint peeled off and/or have some bubbling or brittleness. Includes a set of specially written reference materials about the characters on the chess set.Each figure has been captured in solid pewter, then set the top is solid brass pedestal base.Blue and gray enamel bases, with original felt bottoms. (Blue for the soldiers of the union, great for those of the confederacy.)Due to the softness of the pewter, it is normal for some of the rifles to bend during shipping. There is an original enclosure to that effect. Some of the rifles have been straightened but maybe slightly crooked. All are in good shape, none are broken.This item comes from a smoke free, pet free home. I accept PayPal and ship within two business days of receiving cleared payment. This item will be shipped via USPS priority mail. Buyer pays for shipping, I will pay for insurance. Shipping within the continental US only. No returns.
