This ring is so beautiful; you have to see it to appreciate it! It is an old antique 8 karat (333) yellow gold ring with a huge perfect round amber cabochon stone! In the old days, lots of European jewelry makes used 8 karat gold in their pieces. our ring is a size 8.5, and the amber cabochon is 5/8" in diameter and rises up 1/4" from the shank. The color of the stone is a deep honey orange, almost red, and t are bits of natural inclusions which add to the mystic! Most of you know that amber is fossilized resin from conifer trees, and often contains bits of insects ot plant matter, which add to its value. This is a ring fit for royalty! The stone is rimmed in a braided gold trim. The band is 1/8" wide all the way around, and the weight is 3.5 grams. The ring is marked '333', commonly used in the old country to designate 8 karat gold, and t is a hallmark of a stylized fish. Please ask any questions before bidding! Thank you for your interest! :)
