ANTIQUE WOODEN PRINTERS LETTERPRESS PRINT TRAY DRAWER Miller & Richard Edinburgh Description This is an excellent antique wooden letterpress / letter block print tray or drawer. It is stamped for MILLER & RICHARD, a world famous EDINBURGH type foundry established in 1838 and responsible for many well known fonts. I would think that this tray dates from at least the late nineteenth century. Wonderful aging and colour to the wood. Very well made with dove-tailed joints etc. Measures 32.5" x 14.25" and 1.5" deep; divided into three equal sections, with various sized compartments within each. All in excellent condition. These trays have excellent display and craft potential when hung on a wall, either vertically or horizontally; can be used for storing or displaying interesting oddments and make a useful and interesting storage piece in any room. Great for anyone who wants a true antique version originating from a company with a noted print history. Payment Payment by Cheque, Postal Order, Bank Transfer or Paypal all accepted. Shipping Domestic UK: All items are despatched via a tracked Courier / Mail service. If any buyer should wish to use a cheaper standard Royal Mail service, please contact me; in such an instance it would not be possible to pay via Paypal and would be sent at the buyer's risk.
