Clarinet Excellent condition for its age and plays wellAll seals and corks are goodNice rich tone - Low E Grenadilla wood body is in extre mely good shapeBell has a couple of dents on bottom (see pics) Cannot find any date or serial number (indicating it pre dates 1905 when Barbier was bought out by Selmer) This is NOT the Selmer "student" version! Neck is stamped "F. Barbier Paris" (around FB logo) and also "Paris" near top of neck joint Included is 9 unused Rico reeds #2.5 and an unused polishing cloth new in package. Case Comes with old wooden Selmer Case (not original to instrument)Case is covered in an alligator-like textured material (not real hide and not leather)Worn through on some edges revealing wood dovetail (very sturdy) Middle locking hasp is stamped "Germany" The two outer hasps are stamped "Frost & Stone, Brooklyn, NY U.S.A."
